The biennial Delhi Photo Festival 2011 is an initiative of Nazar Foundation and India Habitat Centre to bring photography, the real democratic art form, into the public space, thereby creating awareness of photographic arts and initiating dialogue amongst its many practitioners. The festival also seeks to create a platform for the coming together of the photographic community and the general public to engage with the art of photography. Learning, sharing, showing new work, giving voice to young collectives, and interaction between photo practitioners and lovers of the art is the main aim of Delhi Photo Festival.
